Kumi

Community Guidelines

Kumi is a space designed for women, to meet, make friends and go out together. To keep it a good and safe place, the community is moderated and we all ask the same things of each other. These guidelines are part of the Terms of Use.

1. Be yourself

  • Use your name (or what people call you) and your own photos, recent ones, where your face can be seen.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • One account, yours only.

2. Respect, always

  • No insults, harassment, threats, mockery or insistent messages to someone who doesn't reply.
  • No discrimination based on origin, religion, orientation, identity, body, disability, age or anything else.
  • A "no" or a silence is an answer: respect it.

3. Content that is not allowed

  • Nudity and sexual content.
  • Violence, hate, self-harm, illegal content.
  • Photos or details of other people without their consent (chat screenshots too).
  • Spam, advertising, selling, suspicious links, requests for money or gifts.

We have zero tolerance for this content: we remove it and whoever posts it is suspended or removed.

4. Kumi is for friendship

Kumi is not a dating app and not a place to find customers. If someone uses it that way, report them.

5. Events

  • Events are only for verified profiles: that way you know the other participants are real people.
  • Create real events, with the right place, day and time, in public places.
  • If you can no longer go, leave the event: the spot frees up for someone else.
  • The same rules as private chats apply in the event chat.

6. Meeting safely

  • For the first times, choose public, busy places.
  • Tell someone you trust: where you're going, with whom, when you'll be back.
  • Arrive and leave with your own means of transport.
  • Don't share your home address, bank details or documents straight away.
  • Trust your instinct: if something feels off, leave and report it to us.
  • If you are in danger, call the emergency number right away (112 in Europe).

7. Report and block

  • From someone's profile or from your chat you can report them (choosing the reason) or block them. The people you block no longer see you and can no longer write to you.
  • We review every report within 24 hours.
  • If the rules were broken, we remove the content and suspend or close the account. If a profile is reported by several people, it is automatically suspended until we check it.
  • Reporting is anonymous: the reported person doesn't know who it was.

8. Moderation

The Kumi team reviews verification requests and reports and may, at any time, remove verification, remove content, suspend or close an account that doesn't respect these guidelines. If you think it was a mistake, write to us.
