Kumi Terms of Use

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Welcome to Kumi. These terms are the rules of the game between you and us, written as simply as we could. By creating an account or using the app you accept these Terms, the Community Guidelines and the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Kumi.

This is a translation of the Italian terms; if the two ever differ, the Italian version prevails.

1. Who we are

Kumi is run as a sole operator by Noemi Di Gennaro (website kumiapp.space), who provides the service. For any question, write to info@kumiapp.space.

2. What Kumi is

Kumi is an app designed for women: it helps you meet like-minded women, make friends and find good things to do together, from the chat to real life. It is not a dating app and it is not a place to sell or advertise.

3. Who can use Kumi

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • Kumi is a space for women. Profiles that don't respect this spirit may be refused at verification, suspended or removed.
  • One personal account per person: it can't be lent or sold.
  • The information you add (name, age, city, photos) must be true and yours.
  • You can't use Kumi if we have already removed you from the app.

4. Profile verification and events

  • You can ask for the "verified" badge with a selfie taken on the spot: a person from the team compares it with your profile photo and approves or rejects it.
  • Events are only available to verified profiles: seeing them, creating them, joining, writing in the event chat and inviting others.
  • If you change your main photo, you need to verify again.
  • We may refuse or remove verification if the details don't match or if the Community Guidelines are not respected.

5. A moderated community

Kumi and its community are moderated. We have zero tolerance for offensive content, harassment and abusive behaviour.

  • From someone's profile and from your chat you can report them or block them: once blocked, you no longer see each other and can no longer write to each other.
  • We review reports within 24 hours and act when needed: we remove content and suspend or close the account of whoever broke the rules.
  • When a profile is reported by several different people, it is automatically suspended until we review it.

6. Your content

The photos, texts, messages and events you post remain yours. You are responsible for them: they must respect the law, these Terms and the Community Guidelines, and you must have the right to post them.

To run the app, you give us a free, non-exclusive permission to store and show this content within Kumi, to the people it is meant for. The permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for what we must keep by law or for the community's safety.

7. What you can't do

In addition to the Community Guidelines, you may not:

  • harass, threaten, insult or discriminate against anyone;
  • post sexual, violent, hateful or illegal content, or content about other people without their consent;
  • pretend to be someone else or create fake profiles;
  • ask for money, sell, advertise or spam;
  • use Kumi in an automated way (bots, data scraping, copying profiles) or try to get around its security.

8. Events and meeting in person

  • Events are created by users. Official Kumi events are suggestions (place, day, time) that everyone joins on her own behalf. Events in town come from external services (for example Ticketmaster): their conditions apply to tickets.
  • Kumi does not physically organise the meetings, is not present and does not check who attends beyond profile verification. To meet safely, follow the tips in the Community Guidelines.

9. Kumi Premium

Kumi is free. Some features have limits that the Kumi Premium subscription removes:

  • Likes: without Premium you see how many people liked you, not who they are;
  • Advanced filters: with Premium you can search for verified profiles only, by shades and by artists in common;
  • Backtrack: with Premium you can go back to the last profile you skipped;
  • Waitlist: with Premium, when an event is full, the first spot that opens up is offered to you before people without Premium;
  • Events: without Premium you can have up to 3 upcoming events at once;
  • Expired chats: with Premium you can reopen chats that went 72 hours without messages.

How the subscription works:

  • it is an auto-renewing subscription bought with your Apple ID through the App Store, choosing among the durations the app shows (for example one week, one month or three months); the price of each is shown before you confirm and Apple charges it;
  • it renews at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends; you can cancel anytime in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your iPhone, and it stays active until the end of the period already paid;
  • payments, renewals and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms: we never see your card details;
  • deleting your Kumi account does not cancel the subscription: cancel it with Apple first.

If we change the price or content of Premium, we will tell you in advance; for existing subscribers a price increase only applies after Apple has asked you and you have agreed.

10. Suspending and closing your account

  • You can delete your account at any time, from the app: Settings → Delete account. We delete your profile, photos, matches, chats and events. If you have Kumi Premium, cancel the subscription with Apple first: deleting your account does not stop it.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or to protect other users. If you think it was a mistake, write to us.

11. Liability

We do our best to make Kumi work well and stay safe, but the app is provided "as is": it may have interruptions or errors. We are not responsible for what users post or do, inside or outside the app, except as provided by law. Nothing in these Terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will publish the new version with a new date at the top and, for important changes, we will tell you in the app. If you keep using Kumi after the change, you accept it.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Italian law. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the court of the place where you live, as provided for consumers.
